Teen Girl Remains in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car in Gresham

One other was hit and since been released from the hospital.

A teenage girls remains in critical condition Thursday after being hit by a car in Gresham Wednesday afternoon.

Viridiana "Viri" Orozvo-Hernandez was in the crosswalk when she was hit by a driver who ran a red light.

She was with her friend, Raquelin Velasco Gutierrez who was also hit. Gutierrez was also transported to the hospital in serious condition but has since been released.

Both girls are 13-years-old.

Police are still trying to figure out why the driver, Deann Marie Lepoidevin, ran the red light.
