Police Offer Reward in Vandalism Case
Gresham Police are hoping a reward will lead someone to identity of vandals.

Less than a week after the City of Gresham started fencing off the open area known as Gresham Woods, vandals have taken down much of the fence.
Now, the police department is hoping a $500 reward will lead someone to identify the person or persons responsible.
The fence had been out up to close off the land, which has been badly damaged from activity including foot traffic and camping.

Many of those responsible are believed to be homeless from the nearby Springwater Trail.
The city says they are considering options beyond the temporary fencing to protect the area.

In the meantime, the city wants people to remember natural area restrictions - including a ban on camping - remain in effect and trespassers all be subject to arrest.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Gresham Police Tip Line at 503-618-2719.
