Police Seek Harry Potter Bandit After He Robs Two Banks
Gresham Police say he robbed two banks on Election Day and is a suspect in five robberies in the Seattle area.
He's called the Harry Potter Bandit and he struck twice in the area on Election Day, according to Gresham Police.
Police say the man - whom they call "oddly disguised" because he appears to have covered much of his body with orange paint - first arrived at the Key Bank at 2689 Southeast Burnside Road in Gresham around 9:30 Tuesday morning.
He fled the bank without receiving any money

About three and one half hours later, he robbed a bank in Aloha. Investigators confirm it was the same suspect in both incidents.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is assisting Gresham detectives and confirmed the same suspect has robbed at least five banks in the Seattle area, where he has been dubbed the "Harry Potter Bandit" due to his likeness to the popular movie character. Tuesday's robberies are believed to be the first time the suspect has targeted banks in Oregon.

The robber is described as a Caucasian man between 18 and 25 years old, who has dark hair and is approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall and 150 pounds.
Anyone who saw something suspicious in the area of Key Bank, or who has information about the identity or location of the suspect, is asked to call Gresham Detective Aaron Turnage at 503.618.3136.
