Gresham School Bus Driver Fired after Claiming Rape Sues District
Suit filed Monday says she was wrongfully terminated after claiming she had been raped

The Reynolds School District is being sued by a former bus driver charing they fired her after she complained of being raped by another driver.
Debra Madtson says she was fired in February 2015 after the went to her supervisors.
Both her and the other driver, who claims the sex was consensual, were fired.

She claims that she had complained about unwanted advances from the other driver for years and they did nothing.
The suit states the video camera on the bus where the incident happened was operating and she can be heard saying "stop."

Madtson says her manager and others watched the video in an open office where others could see her "violent assault."
The school district told KATU while they do not comment on personnel matters, "The District immediately reported the allegations of sexual assault to local law enforcement. Following law enforcement's investigation, the District conducted its own investigation regarding the claims of our staff members. Based on this information, which included law enforcement's findings, the District believes its response was appropriate."
