• Proposed HSD November 2026 Bond (hsd.k12.or.us) — Hillsboro School District is moving forward with a proposed $430 million capital bond for the November 2026 ballot, funding repairs, safety upgrades, and modernized learning spaces at every school. District leaders say existing debt drops and community growth should keep the new bond rate below the average since 2018, and passage would also trigger a $6 million state matching grant. • State-of-the-art training facility for two major Oregon women's sports teams opens in Hillsboro (opb.org) — A new Kaiser Permanente Performance Center has opened in Hillsboro, giving the Portland Thorns and Portland Fire a purpose-built training home designed around women athletes' needs. Local leaders, including Hillsboro's mayor, celebrated features like family spaces, customized locker rooms, and pro-quality fields and courts. The facility strengthens Hillsboro's role in Oregon's growing women's sports scene.
