Hops Education, Sports Donations Reach Major Milestone (kxl.com) — Hillsboro residents can celebrate as the Hillsboro Hops Fund has now surpassed $1 million in donations, much of it staying right here in town and the Portland metro area. Genentech Hillsboro Expansion: $750M Investment Doubles Oregon Site, Adds 450 Jobs (constructionreviewonline.com) — Genentech has begun a $750 million expansion of its Hillsboro manufacturing campus, a project that will double the site's size and create about 450 jobs over the coming years. The facility will add advanced drug device production and high-wage roles in areas like AI-enabled manufacturing, reinforcing Hillsboro's position as a key hub in the company's U.S. supply chain.
3. Oregon Democrats Protest Christine Drazan's Appearance With Ron DeSantis (news-usa.today) — Hillsboro hosted the Oregon Republican Party's Reagan Dinner, where Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appeared alongside Christine Drazan, sparking protests outside the venue from Oregon Democrats and advocacy groups.
