Disabled Girl Sexually Abused By Sutherlin Man: Police

SUTHERLIN, OR — A southern Oregon man was arrested in Douglas County this past Saturday for sexually abusing two Washington County teenage girls — one of whom is developmentally disabled, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Rusty Hendrickson, 38, was taken to the Douglas County Jail and charged with three counts each of second and third degree sex abuse Dec. 9. He was released the same day.

Sheriff's officials say Hendrickson, who is formerly from Milwaukie, allegedly had unspecified sexual contact with a developmentally disabled girl he met online in June. After detectives began their investigation, the Violent Crimes Unit learned of another teenage girl who Hendrickson also allegedly abused.

Hendrickson's case will be tried in Washington County.

As detectives continue to investigate, they ask anyone with additional information about Hendrickson to come forward. Due to the nature of his alleged crimes, detectives believe there are more victims.
