Gaston Woman Shoots Boyfriend During Argument, Police Say
Shannon Melee Main allegedly assaulted her boyfriend just before 8:30 p.m. Monday. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

GASTON, OR — Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman who shot her boyfriend in the leg during an argument Monday night in a rural area north of Henry Hagg Lake, roughly nine miles outside Gaston in western Washington County.
Shannon Melee Main, 57, was lodged at the Washington County Jail for assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and attempted murder. Her bail is set at $25,000.
According to police, Main was arguing with her 57-year-old boyfriend when she allegedly attacked him at her home in the 1200-block of Southwest Tanner Creek Road around 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13. The man reportedly called 911 himself.

Washington County deputies, Cornelius deputies, Forest Grove police, and Oregon State Police all responded to the area and took Main into custody.
Police said a Cornelius deputy had to apply a tourniquet to the man's left leg until a MetroWest ambulance arrived, and that the man had also suffered a laceration to his head. His injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening.
