Hillsboro Fire Dept. Responds to Warehouse Fire Near Hillsboro Airport
A small fire at a warehouse near the Hillsboro airport was quickly put out Tuesday morning by Hillsboro firefighters. No injuries reported.

HILLSBORO, OR – Hillsboro firefighters responded to a commercial fire Tuesday morning near the Hillsboro airport.
Washington County 911 dispatchers reported a fire at a 12,000-square-foot warehouse located at 1458 N.E. 25th Ave. around 10:45 a.m. March 28. According to Hillsboro Fire Department spokesman Bruce Montgomery, when fire crews from HFD Jones Farm Station #5 arrived on scene they found an active fire in a corner of the smoke-filled building, which was quickly extinguished.
Eight people who worked in the building were temporarily displaced, Montgomery said, but could re-enter the building by 11:30 a.m.

Hillsboro fire investigator Joe Ligatich reportedly said the fire started when heat from a plasma cutter ignited a build-up of residual dried paint.
No injuries were reported, and no cost for damages has been released.
