Hillsboro Fire Plans Veterans Day Salute
Moment of silence is planned at each station.

Hillsboro Fire and Rescue firefighters will honor America's veterans on Friday by taking part in a moment of silence. The salute, which will happen at 11:00 in the morning, will involve firefighters stopping what they are doing and counting 21 seconds.
The 21-second count represents a 21-gun salute.
"By doing so, we join our state and nation in remembering the sacrifices of countless Americans to preserve our freedom," said a spokesman for the department, Bruce Montgomery.
