Hillsboro Gives Residents a Reason to Look Forward to the Rain

Hillsboro residents - just by virtue of living in Oregon - are used to the rain.

For months at a time, it is here, a companion to keep you company until July 5th.

And like a relative who overstays its welcome, after a while, the rain can be tiresome.

Well, Hillsboro is doing what its can to make the experience a bit more bearable.

The next time it rains, head to Main Street and look down.

There you will find drawings by artist Corey Lunn is using a special, hydrophobic paint that repels the water and leaves drawings behind.

These drawings then disappear.

They are meant to help people think about water as a precious resource.
