To better keep up with City's latest COVID-19 updates, here are instructions on how to ensure your Facebook newsfeed includes these updates.

During the COVID-19 crisis, the City of Hillsboro is providing regular updates on our Facebook page. These updates detail how the pandemic impacts all aspects of our community, whether it's the continuation of essential services, facilities closures, or launching programs to help community members most in need.

To better keep up with the City's latest COVID-19 updates, here are instructions on how to ensure your Facebook newsfeed includes these updates.

If you're using a laptop or desktop computer:

  • Next to the "Like" button, find the word "Follow" or "Following."
  • Click the word "Following" and select "See First."

If you're using the Facebook app on a phone

(Please note things may vary slightly depending on the type of device you own):

  • Once the app is opened, touch the menu icon (depending on your device, it's the one with the three lines or a grid of boxes).

  • Tap/select "Pages."

  • On the next screen, tap on "Liked Pages," which will take you to the list of your liked pages. Scroll down to the "All the Pages You Like" section, and find the City of Hillsboro page. (If you haven't liked the page already, please do so before going to "Pages.")

  • Tap on the three dots next to the name of our page. You'll see a pop-up menu, and at the top of the list is an option to "See City of Hillsboro - Local Government first." Tap/select that option.
