Man Wanted for Breaking Into Home of His Child's Mother Arrested

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says that Louis Jarvis turned himself in. They say he had fled after the woman fired a shot at him.

A man who allegedly busted into the apartment of the mother of his child and smashed the windows of her vehicle is in custody. Louis Jarvis, 40, turned himself in to the Washington County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office says that on January 13, Jarvis arrived at the apartment at 12070 SW Fischer Road in King City and forced his way in. He was allegedly upset over child custody issues.

He does not live at the apartment and has not lived there, according to the sheriff's office.

The woman, concerned for her safety, armed herself with a handgun and fired in Jarvis's direction. He was not injured but smashed three windows on her vehicle as he fled.

He is currently charged with burglary and criminal mischief and is being held on $50,000 bail.
