A mother and two children were hit by a car in Hillsboro Wednesday morning. All three were taken to the hospital.
One of the children is a toddler and in a stroller. The other is five-years-old. The five-year-old suffered very serious injuries.
The younger child suffered minor injuries. The mother's foot was injured.

The crash happened just before 8:00 near Southwest 75h Avenue and Johnson Street. The crosswalk is marked but does not have a crossing guard or stop light.
The incident happened right by Ladd Acres Elementary School where the five-year-old attends kindergarten.

The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating.
