Oregon DMV: You May Not Be Able to Charge Through Your Visit But You Can Charge Your Visit
All 60 offices now accept credit and debit cards as of Thursday.

A trip to the Department of Motor Vehicles may never be fun but at least there is no one less area of aggravation - you don't need to bring to cash with you.
As of Thursday - all 60 DMV offices around the state now take credit and debit cards. No more cash is needed.
Hillsboro and Sherwood were the last ones to get their systems upgraded to allow for the new transactions.

Until now, going to DMV meant needing cash. All branches had ATMs for those who forgot to stop at the bank on the way. The ATMs are now being removed.
And, for those looking to go old school, DMV still accepts checks.
