Oregon Primary Day: Washington County Incumbents Win Re-Election
From Washington County Commission races to the sheriff to Beaverton City Council, the presidential primary was far from the only race Tuesda

The presidential primary may be getting most of the attention, but there are plenty of other races to watch Tuesday in Washington County.
Representative Suzanne Bonamici handily won re-nominations from the Democrats, beating Shabba Woodley 80 percent to 2 percent.
Bonamici will face Brian Heinrich, the Republican candidate, in November.

Two seats on the Washington County Commission — district one and district three — are on the ballot.
Dick Schouten is unopposed running in District 1, and in District 3, incumbent Roy Rogers won with 52 percent of the vote to 24 percent for Glendora Claybrooks.

Sheriff Pat Garret was unopposed as he seeks another term.
Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle had a clear road as he seeks reelection.
Two of his colleagues on the City Council — Mark Fagin and Cate Arnold — are also unopposed as they seek to be reelected.
Also on the ballot was a measure to approve a property tax to help fund a much needed revamp of the county's 911 system.
It was sailing to approval, ahead by 42 percent.
