Police Bomb Squad Detonates Unknown Device at Hagg Lake
The device was found around 10 a.m. Thursday and was exploded just before 1 p.m. No injuries were reportedly caused by the unknown device.

FOREST GROVE, OR – An unknown device found at Henry Hagg Lake was detonated by the Portland Police Bureau Bomb Squad Thursday.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded shortly after 10 a.m. March 30. Via its Twitter account, WCSO officials announced around 11:45 a.m. that a park ranger reportedly found "a plastic container wrapped in electrical tape north of boat ramp ‘C’."

After WCSO deputies evacuated and secured the area, the PPB bomb unit exploded the container just before 1 p.m.

Officials are still unsure of what the container was, though they have since said there does not appear to be any further danger to the public. No other containers or devices were found during a search of the area, officials said.
