Portland Man Dies Of Injuries Two Weeks After Hagg Lake Motorcycle Crash
Uziel Guzman-Avendano died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a crash near Hagg Lake on June 5.
GASTON, OR — A Portland man riding his motorcycle around Hagg Lake in Western Washington County earlier this month has died from injuries he sustained when he crashed into a guardrail, Washington County Sheriff's officials said.
Uziel Guzman-Avendano, 26, died June 21 at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, officials said. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
Shortly after 7 p.m. June 5, deputies were called to Southwest Scoggins Valley Road and Southwest Nelson Road, just north of Henry Hagg County Park, where Guzman-Avendano reportedly wrecked his 2016 Yamaha motorcycle after failing to properly take a curve, ultimately colliding with a guard rail at a high rate of speed, officials said.
