Portland Man Jailed On Robbery, Drug Charges Now Accused In Jewelry Theft

Marshall Litten was already in jail when investigators saw his mug shot.

A 25-year-old from Portland already in jail on charges he threatened a woman in Hillsboro and stole her car, has now been charged in connection with a smash and grab jewelry robbery at the Fred Meyer in Cornelius.

Marshall Litten had been arrested in February by Beaverton Police and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

Investigators from the Washington County Sheriff's Office looking into the robbery at the Fred Meyer - in January a man stole more than $15,000 in gold necklaces - saw his mug shot, compared it to video surveillance of the robbery, and concluded it was the same person.

Litten is now charged with additional criminal mischief charges as well as first degree theft.

He's being held on $280,000 bail.
