Providence Nursing Assistant Pleads Guilty To Sex Crimes
Adeladilew Mekonen will spend 25 years in prison.
A nursing assistant at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center will spend 25 years in prison, according to the plea deal he reached with prosecutors, it was announced Friday. Adeladilew Mekonen will be formally sentenced on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Mekonen, who had been indicted for 28 separate crimes, all involving sexual contact with female patients at the hospital, was arrested last September.

The investigation stemmed from complaints made by two elderly females who were recently patients at the hospital.
Mekonen had worked at St. Vincent from May, 2016, until his arrest in September.
