Raiders Fan Robbed Plaid Pantry New Year's Eve: Police

HILLSBORO, OR — Police are searching for a man who on New Year's Eve robbed at gunpoint a Plaid Pantry in central Hillsboro — taking not only money but also cigarettes and some ice cream.

The suspected robber was reportedly carrying a black handgun when he held up the Plaid Pantry at 101 N.E. 43rd Ave., near the Northeast Brookwood Parkway-East Main Street intersection, taking money from the register, Marlboro Red cigarettes, and two ice cream bars.

The suspect is described as a short white man, standing at roughly 5-foot-5. At the time of the robbery he was was wearing a black jacket over a black Oakland Raiders playoff pullover, a black beanie, and dark pants.
