A crash just before 9:00 Monday morning badly damaged the bridge that carries OR 6 over OR 47.
The Washington County Sheriff's office says that a trackhoe was torn off a trailer and it caused extensive damage and delays.

The trackhoe was hauling the equipment when the crash happened.
The closure of the southbound lane of OR 47 is necessary to stage equipment and set up for the repair work. One lane of OR 47 will remain closed indefinitely with flaggers controlling two way traffic.
