Two Dead In Bull Run Murder-Suicide, Say Deputies
The couple were being investigated for embezzling from the company where they both worked.

A couple that was being investigated for embezzling from the company where both worked are dead after a murder-suicide, the Washington County Sheriff's office said Thursday morning. The couple were found just after 1 a.m. in their home on Bull Mountain.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says that just after 10:30, Wednesday night, deputies had been called to the home on the 13600 block of Southwest Willow Lane.

Relatives of 48-year-old Lisa Malone and 48-year-old Leonard Foster had arrived at the home after not hearing from the couple in a while. From the ground floor, they spoke with the couple who were upstairs.
Family members heard what they thought was a single gunshot. They would later tell deputies they weren't sure if the shot had been fired in the house or was on the television.

The couple yelled down to their relatives, telling them they were fine and asking them to leave.
Relatives called 911. While on the phone, they heard what they they thought were additional shots. The dispatcher didn't hear anything but sent deputies to the scene.
Deputies spoke with neighbors who had not heard any shots.
While speaking with neighbors, the deputies and family noticed that the house lights were being turned off.
Deputies - noticing that lights were being turned off, that no one was sure if the shots had been fired or on television, and that the couple had asked people to leave - determined they didn't have legal standing to enter the house.
Everyone left.
The family, concerned about the couple, returned just after 1 and found the couple dead.
The couple, which had lived there for just more than one year, had no history of domestic violence.
They both worked at Fahey Machinery in Lake Oswego. The Tualatin Police Department was conducting the embezzlement investigation.
Deputies found evidence of heroin use at the scene.
