A one-alarm fire Monday night damaged a vacant home in Hillsboro.
Twenty-four firefighters were needed to put out the fire.
There were no injuries.

It happened around 9:35 at 1124 SE Walnut Street.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the windows, which had been boarded up. They were able to fight the fire from outside.

The fire was extinguished in just over 30 minutes.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
