Washington County Crime Alert: Sheriff's Office Searching for More Sex Abuse Victims
Investigation started after family of underage boy reported man tried to make inappropriate contact.
A 57-year-old from Aloha is in jail after allegedly arranging online to meet with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old boy from California so they could have sex.
It turned out that the boy was a sheriff's deputy.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested David Hames McHarg at Portland International Airport where, they say, he had gone to meet the "teen."

The Sheriff's office says that McHarg was communicating with underage boys mostly via Facebook.
The investigation began after the family of a teen contacted the sheriff's office.

The Sheriff's office believes that there may be more victims out there and asks anyone with information to contact their detective division at 503-846-2500.
McHarg is charged with online sexual corruption of a child and luring a minor.
He is being held on $250,000 bail.
