Washington County Sheriff's Deputy Pleads Guilty to Harassing Wilsonville Woman
As part of deal, resigns from sheriff's office, pleads guilty to harassing woman from Wilsonville

It started with an anonymous letter accusing sexual misconduct by several members of the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
And now a third member of that office is gone - having either resigned or been fired.
David Bergquist, who had been with the office for more than 20 years, pleaded guilty Tuesday to harassing a woman from Wilsonville.

Bergquist resign from the sheriff's office last week as part of the agreement.
He will be forced to give up his police certification, complete 18 hours of probation, and 24 hours of community service.

The investigation was conducted by the Portland Police Bureau and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
"While Mr. Bergquist's conduct happened off duty, I continue to enforce the highest standards of conduct and professionalism while strengthening the foundation for change," said the Washington County Sheriff, Pat Garrett.
"I am committed to ensuring this type of behavior, whether on or off duty, is not part of our future. While some changes have been implemented, additional improvements may be appropriate as more information is received."
