Washington County Sheriff's K9 Officer Found Safe

The Washington County Sheriff's Office missing K9 officer, Radar, has been found safe. Radar had gone missing during a search for a suspect on Wednesday north of Manning in a heavily wooded area.

Radar and his partner were assisting North Plains Police in their search for a suspect. The driver had led the officer on a high speed chase that led ended at Northwest Green Mountain Road where the suspect fled into the woods.

Radar's leash got tangled in some bush and when his partner got him free, he bolted.

A neighbor found him early Thursday morning, brought him inside and called the sheriff's office. He was reunited with his handler and is on good health.

The suspect remains at large. There is an intense search underway to find Radar. The Sheriff's Office asks that anyone who sees Radar, not to approach him and please call 911 immediately.
