Is This Your Jewelry? Sheriff's Office Wants To Return Jewelry Seized From Couple

More than 100 items were seized from a couple. Deputies want to return the items to their owners.

Deputies would like to return the items to their owners.

The couple - 41-year-old Nelson Pettis of Vancouver and 35-year-old Katherine Hauser of Newberg - were arrested after a homeowner on the 710 block of Southwest 209th Avenue called 911 to report a man had busted into her house and stole valuables.

Deputies were on scene within minutes and stopped a car from leaving the driveway.

They determined that the woman in the car - Hauser - would knock on a door and, if no one answered, Pettis would force his way into the house.

Pettis is charged with Burglary and theft while Hauser, is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Theft by Receiving.

Both remain lodged in the Washington County Jail.

Deputies searched the car used and found more than 100 items of jewelry they believe might have been stolen during other burglaries. Detectives would like to return the jewelry to its rightful owner(s) and need the public's help.
