• Multiple agencies respond to brush fire in Oregon (dailydispatch.com) — Fire crews from several agencies, including a Hood River task force, are battling a roughly 10‑acre brush fire along Orchard Road just south of Hood River. The blaze, reported Sunday afternoon, spread from Mid‑Columbia Fire & Rescue's district into jointly protected land, drawing help from Oregon and Washington departments and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area team.
• Hood River Pumping Station and Pipeline Trail (atlasobscura.com) — If you're looking for a nearby adventure, the old Hood River Pumping Station and the Hood River Pipeline Trail offer an easy three‑mile out‑and‑back right in Hood River.
