Mid-Columbia Community Action Council says the change, backed by local government and health partners, is meant to provide more stable, dignified pathways from crisis to long-term housing.
   

• The Dalles faces mounting street repair bill as deferred maintenance approaches $9 million (columbiacommunityconnection.com) — Hood River residents should know their local shelter is shifting from a winter-only model to year-round service, expanding consistent access for people experiencing homelessness. That change was noted as The Dalles City Council wrestled with a huge street repair backlog, potential new fees and taxes, nuisance enforcement, broadband rollout, and other city business that may indirectly affect Gorge communities.
