Today's riddle: What gets bigger the more you take away? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• What makes Lake Oswego's flower baskets unique? (lakeoswegoreview.com) — Lake Oswego's beloved Village Flower Basket program is a 36-year, community-funded tradition that fills downtown with more than 200 hanging baskets each spring. Local nursery The Garden Corner designs, grows, and maintains the baskets, using water-wise reservoirs and ever-evolving plant combinations. Residents and businesses keep the program alive through tax-deductible donations that cover the roughly $400 cost per basket each season.
• Oregon hosting pair of 2028 top recruits for season opener (usatoday.com) — A standout tight end from Lake Oswego is emerging as Oregon's top in-state football recruit for the 2028 class and will visit the Ducks for their Sept. 5 season opener. He's already drawing national attention after strong camp performances and growing interest from major programs. His visit, alongside other elite prospects, is part of Oregon's broader push to secure future talent.
