• Students attend first day at new Lake Oswego Middle School (lakeoswegoreview.com) — Lake Oswego families saw the newly rebuilt Lake Oswego Middle School open its doors Tuesday, with sixth graders and other students finally moving back from the temporary Uplands Elementary campus. The project, funded by a previous construction bond, marks one of the last major bond upgrades and reshuffles Forest Hills students into Uplands while their own replacement school is built.
   

• UPDATE: Victim, officers identified in Sept. 3 Canby apartment shooting (woodburnindependent.com) — Lake Oswego residents should know their police department is leading the investigation into a Sept. 3 officer-involved shooting that left a man dead at Canby's Sequoia Grove Apartments. Canby officers say the suspect fired at them before two sergeants returned fire; both officers are now on paid leave while Lake Oswego Police and county teams review what happened.
