Clackamas County Sets Swearing-In Of New Commissioner For March 7
Sonya Fischer will fill the seat vacated by Jim Bernard when he was elected to be county chairman.
Sonya Fischer, selected to be the newest member of the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners, will be sworn in during a ceremony on March 7 at 6:30 p.m.. The ceremony will be held in the public hearing room at the Public Services Building in Oregon City.
Fischer will fill the seat vacated by Jim Bernard when he was elected to be the County Chairman.

A lawyer in Lake Oswego, Fischer will serve the remainder of Bernard's term, which expires in Dec. 2018.
Fischer is a former legislative director for the Oregon Department of Human Services. She heads Fischer Family Law and is a graduate of Lewis and Clark Law School. Fischer earned a master's degree from Portland State University and a bachelor of science degree in sociology/social work from Warner Pacific College.
