Fire Sends 18 People From Their Homes

A condo fire sent 18 people from their homes in Lake Oswego Wednesday afternoon.

It happened at the Tanglewood Hills Condo at 4 Touchstone Street.

Of the building's eight units. one was completely destroyed and four units had smoke and water damage.

The resident of the unit where the fire is believed to have started tried to put it out but had to flee.

He told investigator he had heard a popping sound.

They are still trying to determine the exact cause of the fire.
