Former LOHS Student Charged With Molotov Cocktail Attack

Travis Toal was 17-years-old at the time of the 2014 attack.

A former student at Lake Oswego High School is charged with a Molotov cocktail attack on a house more than two years ago, Travis Toal was 17-years-old at the time.

Toal, currently a junior at the University of Southern California, is charged with arson, reckless endangerment, and unlawful manufacture of a destructive device.

Police have not disclosed what motive Toal might have had - or even if he knew the family inside the house on the 4000 block of Upper Drive. They were sleeping at the time, woke up, and were able to out out the fire, the police said at the time.

In attempt to get him released on bail or his own recognizance, his family talked about his 3.85 GPA at LOHS, the fact that he has similar grades at USC where he is on the ski team and plays in the marching band.
