Gresham Woman Killed Crossing Road in Tigard, Police Say

The driver who allegedly hit and killed Norma Mendoza has not been cited, police said. The investigation is ongoing.

TIGARD, OR — A Gresham woman was killed while crossing Pacific Highway in Tigard Sunday night, according to Tigard police.

Norma Alicia Mendoza, 49, was hit shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the 12900-block of Southwest Pacific Highway, near Southwest Frewing Street.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Mendoza reportedly stayed at the scene and remained cooperative with officers, who noted no signs of impairment or intoxication.

No citations have been issued, though the investigation is ongoing, police said.
