Lake Oswego Library Hosting Talk on Shakespeare and Food

To eat or not to eat.

Well, they ate and the importance of food in Shakespeare's time is of keen interest to Professor Keri Behre of Marylhurst University.

And on April 23, she will be at the Lake Oswego Library to share that interest.

She will talk about food in Shakespeare's time from several angles including how women in that era used food to leverage power, in and out of the kitchen.

The library promises "seventeenth-century recipes and snacks" will be provided.
