Those are just a few of the goals of the Annual National Night Out Against Crime happening Tuesday August 2nd.

There will be block parties and cookouts, visits from police officers and firefighters, flashlight walks and youth programs.

Many Clackamas County organizations will have representatives at the official Oregon City event will be at 1232 Linn Avenue from 5:30 to 8:30 at night.

The event has happened in cities on the first Tuesday of August every year since 1983.
