Lake Oswego Police Chase Ends When Suspect's Stolen Vehicle Runs Out of Gas
An early morning car chase ended March 24 when the suspect's stolen vehicle ran out of gas south of Lake Oswego. No injuries were reported.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR – Portland resident Jonathan William Hanna ended a police chase rather anticlimactically early Friday morning when the car he allegedly stole from Gresham ran out of gas mid-chase near Lake Oswego.
Charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Attempting to Elude, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Hanna has been lodged in the Clackamas County Jail.
Hanna’s escapade began when a Lake Oswego police officer reportedly tried to stop him for speeding around 3 a.m. March 24.

Hanna, 28, did not stop, however, and a pursuit ensued, police said.
Hanna and an unidentified passenger reportedly fled south on Highway 43 before turning onto southbound Interstate 205 in West Linn.

Roughly six miles down the road, as Hanna then turned into the Stafford Road exit area south of Lake Oswego, police said his vehicle slowly came to stop –– fuel tank empty.
After taking Hanna into custody police learned the vehicle he was allegedly driving had been reported stolen from Gresham earlier. Officers reportedly also found Hanna in possession of heroin and methamphetamines.
The unnamed passenger was released and Hanna was transported to the Clackamas County Jail in Oregon City.
