Lake Oswego Police Seek Info On Burglary Suspects

The burglaries allegedly took place between July 4 and July 5 in Lake Oswego. Anyone with information is asked to call police dispatch.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR — Police are asking for the community's help identifying two people suspected of four separate residential burglaries between July 4 and July 5.

According to LOPD spokesman Lt. Darryl Wrisley, the burglaries occurred on Webley Park Road and on Egan and Dover ways. The two burglaries on Webley Park Road are believed to have taken place July 4, though they were reported July 5. It appears as though the alleged burglars took advantage of families being away for the July 4 holiday, Wrisley said.

Though all four homes were entered by the two suspects, two of the homes were occupied by residents when the alleged burglaries were attempted, which reportedly scared off the suspects. Police said the suspects in all four cases entered through unlocked doors and windows.

The two suspects being sought are described as a white adult female and a Hispanic male, Wrisley said, noting that it's unclear whether the pair are affiliated.

The woman is estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old, 5-feet 5-inches tall and 130 pounds. She is said to have long brown hair and "severe acne," according to police. One witness reportedly saw her leave one residence in a newer, white Acura sedan driven by a third, unidentified male suspect, Wrisley said, noting no description is currently available for the female suspect's alleged getaway driver.

The second suspect is said to be 5-feet 7-inches tall and 140 pounds. He may be sporting a pencil-thin mustache, police said. Following one of the burglaries, witnesses reportedly told police a newer, gray Chevrolet pickup was seen speeding from the area. Whether the suspect and the truck are connected is unknown at this time.

All leads are being pursued as this investigation continues, Wrisley said. Anyone with information about any of the four burglaries is asked to call Lake Oswego Police Department dispatch at 503-635-0238.

From the Lake Oswego Police Department:

As the summer approaches, it may be tempting to leave windows or doors open to keep cool, but it is also important that people remember to secure your property. This time of year can increase the number of opportunist burglaries, where criminals take advantage of homeowners who have left windows, patio doors and doors ajar.
