Lake Oswego School District: Majority of Sites Tested for Lead Negative

Lake Oswego Schools gets a fairly positive report back on testing for lead in the water at its facilities.

Lake Oswego tested all of its buildings for lead in the water and got a fairly positive report card back.

Of the 60 sites tested - every Lake Oswego building was tested- only two tests came back with results requiring follow-up.

A porcelain drinking fountain in the district staff development room in the tech building across from the district administration building on the campus of Lake Oswego High School tested at 35 parts per billion, well above the 15 PPB the EPA says is too high.

The fountain, which the district says is "rarely used," has been turned off. As has a newer, stainless-steel fountain in an adjacent study room.
