Lake Oswego Schools Bond Development Committee Makes Progress

Committee developing list of projects for funding by school bond

Faced with more than $100 million in work that needs to be done to its 17 buildings, the Lake Oswego School District is moving toward developing a list of projects that it hopes to include in a bond measure that would appear on the ballot in November.

From design work to repair work to seismic upgrades, the committee developing the priorities has a long list of things to consider.

They had a meeting last week at Lake Oswego High School and will meet again next week at Lakeridge High School.

One of the big issues that still needs to be resolved is whether the district will merge Lake Oswego High School with Lakeridge High School.

While it had been discussed, there has been a lot of opposition to the suggestion.
