Lake Oswego Senior Center Trying New Technology

Mary's Woods at Marylhurst is one of a few test sites in the country for The History Project

Mary's Woods at Marylhurst, the continuing care center in Lake Oswego, has been picked to help test a new technology platform aimed at helping seniors be more in touch with their memories.

Senior Housing News reports that the platform allows seniors to gather in one place memories and artifacts such as pictures and audio recordings and create narratives.

"The thing I like about The History Project is that it doesn’t lead with technology," Rob May, CTO at Mary’s Woods, told Senior Housing News. "It leads with the story, with their family and their connections. …It’s a very interesting, compelling piece of technology being used for non-technical, non-gadget-based activity."
