Woman, 66, run over by 84-year-old driver who told police he didn't see her.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR — Authorities have released the identity of a pedestrian killed Thursday in Lake Oswego.

Police say Louise Fay Marandas, 66, of Lake Oswego was on foot eastbound on B Street and crossing 3rd Avenue, when she was struck by a 2014 silver Porsche Cayenne. The driver, whom police have only identified as an 84-year-old man, was estimated to be traveling between 5 and 10 mph at the time of the accident, Oregon Live reports. He told police he did not see Marandas due to the sun in his eyes.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing. No charges or citations have been issued.
