• Newberg Sports Roundup: George Fox to Add Women's Flag Football in Fall 2027 (newsberg.org) — Newberg athletes at George Fox University and Newberg High School have a busy stretch ahead, with a new women's flag football program launching in 2027 and multiple Tigers teams in action this week. From undefeated boys soccer and a breakthrough football win to youth football highlights and Bruins results, local fans can track scores and mark their calendars for several upcoming home and away games.
   

• Restructuring Committee to Present Findings to School Board Oct. 13 (newsberg.org) — Newberg-Dundee families face major school changes as a 77-member committee prepares to present eight restructuring options—many closing Ewing Young and possibly other schools—to the board on October 13, with a final vote November 17. Residents can still weigh in at an October 1 committee meeting and through upcoming staff and parent sessions, while the board also advances a new state-required immigration-enforcement notification policy.
