5th Car Shot In Rural Clackamas County, Sheriff Says
Police say 5 cars have been shot over the past 2 months near the same intersection south of Canby, though no cars were struck since Aug. 7.

MOLALLA, OR — A fifth vehicle was struck by gunfire south of Canby and west of Molalla in rural Clackamas County early Monday, according to Clackamas County Sheriff's officials. No people were harmed in the incident, though police say the bullet missed the driver's head by mere inches.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sept. 25, a man was driving his minivan near the intersection of Canby-Marquam Highway and South Barnards Road, police said. The man reportedly told police his rear passenger window had been broken out but couldn't explain how.
After finding a bullet lodged in the driver's side sun visor, police determined the window had been shot out. Police say this is the fifth time a car has been shot in the same area within the past two months.

On Aug. 7, police reported the four previous shootings in an effort to obtain tips from the public. Since that announcement, police say no cars were reportedly struck by bullets until today, though locals have reported hearing gunshots in the area at least 10 times, including one hour before Monday's incident.

Despite all the tips, however, no suspect has been identified or even spotted by witnesses, police said.
