7th Street Package Thief Sought By Police

OREGON CITY, OR — Oregon City Police are looking for a suspected package thief and they've asked the community for help.

Around 2 p.m. July 6, an unidentified male stole a package off the porch of a home in the 1100-block of Seventh Street, across the road from Mexico Unlimited, Inc. In surveillance video from the porch released by the Oregon City Police Department Wednesday, the suspect is seen walking west toward downtown before spotting the package and turning up the walkway toward the house.

At the top of the stairs, the suspect leans in and spends a moment examining the package before picking it up and casually continuing west down Seventh Street.

The suspect is described as a white adult male, wearing a long, black leather jacket, a black flat-billed baseball cap, white sneakers, tan or beige-colored shorts, and a long lanyard around his neck.
