Baton Rouge, Other Shootings Inspire Outreach to Oregon City Police

The shootings in Baton Rouge and Dallas that left many officers dead are inspiring people locally to let their police officers know how much they are appreciated.

"Please let all your Police Officers know how much I support and admire all they do for us everyday and I am not the only one that feels that way," a resident of Oregon City wrote to Chief Jim Band the other day.

"I am so sorry for all the terrible loss of law enforcement this last week. It is deplorable and disgusting that people would do such a thing."
