Dog Rescued from Cliff by Deputies
Sheriff's Office still trying to find the dog's owner.
A daring rescue by Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputies Sunday brought a dog to safety,
The dog was noticed on a cliff along the Clackamas River about a mile from Barton Park in Boring by a rafter who called 911.
The sheriff's office sent a marine boat and found the dog about 30 feet down a cliff that appeared to be about 100 feet tall.

The cliff was very steep and slippery and the dog was unable to go in either direction.
So, deputies climbed up and rescued the dog.

They checked homes in the area and were unable to find the dog's owner.
The dog, who appears to be a mix of Rottweiler and Blue Healer, was not wearing a collar.
He was brought to the Clackamas County Dog Shelter.
