Fire Destroys Vacant Oregon City House

Forty-two-year-old house destroyed.

Oregon City firefighters arrived at 18878 South Rose Road early Saturday morning to find a home fully involved.

Smoke was filling the air and there were flames through the roof.

Fortunately, the home was vacant - a neighbor said no one had lived there since last Christmas.

Firefighters used more than 3,000 gallons of water in fighting the fire.
